Just the Job
Just the Job is a TV series that gives high school students a practical insight into a range of career paths available in New Zealand. The half-hour episodes provide informative and entertaining opportunities to help secondary school students gain firsthand experience of what happens on the job.
Career Services sponsors the distribution of DVDs of each series to all secondary schools in New Zealand. Additional copies of the DVD can be purchased from Roadshow Entertainment NZ Limited. Email liz_fordham@roadshow.co.nz.
Just the Job is a useful resource to inform students about different jobs and industries, and help them to start thinking about their own career pathways.
Each week students try out different future career possibilities. A mentor is on hand to provide information about the pros and cons of the job. Each episode closes with a career tip from a Career Services career consultant.
