Communications and technology day: 13 March
Check out the latest communications technology at the Planet 2010 conference at SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland.
You can also hear telecommunications sales, marketing and IT workers talk about their jobs, and what it's like to work in the industry.
Seaweek 2010: 7-14 March
"Fish for the future" is the theme of this year's Seaweek, and events that showcase the sea and the creatures in it will be held throughout New Zealand.
Events include film screenings, marine education programmes and beach clean-ups.
Headhunting season officially open
Recruitment firm Hayes registered 30% more job vacancies in February than in January of this year.
However, employers are primarily looking for experienced candidates who have worked through the recession, leaving limited opportunities for graduates, unemployed, new migrants, and those wanting to move into a new industry.
