There are about 40 ITOs, which cover a wide range of industries including service, manufacturing, primary industries (such as agriculture), and trades.

What do ITOs do?

• Help people get NZQA-recognised qualifications on the job.
• Provide information and advice to trainees and their employers.
• Develop and arrange education and training for their industry.
• Arrange your assessments when you are training, and ensure you are getting high-quality training.

Some ITOs may also be able to advise you about job vacancies in their industries.
