Q: How did you get into Gateway?

A: Our dean told us about Gateway in one of our assemblies. I thought it sounded interesting, so went to talk to him more about it.

Q: So which industry are you doing Gateway in?

A: I am doing Gateway experience in the police.

Q: What sorts of things have you been doing with the police?

A: Going really fast in the car, going out with the dogs and the Armed Offenders Squad, highway patrol ...

Q: Do you think you will join the police?

A: I'm going to join the Army for a while, then when I get out I'll try the police force.

Q: What do you like about Gateway?

A: The fact that you get valuable work experience out of it, so that if you go into it later you already know what you want to do.

Q: Can anyone do Gateway?

A: I think it depends on your school offering it, and you have to go through an interview with your Gateway co-ordinator to see if the programme suits you.
