Highlights at a glance
Clients receiving better services
New services include:
- additional website sections, such as ‘Educators and practitioners’, which is tailored for teachers and career counsellors
- interactive online tools such as CV4Me, My Career Space and many more.
Demand for our services escalates
More and more New Zealanders are using our website. This year, we received more than two million visits from New Zealand-based people to our website – nearly three times as many as in 2007/08.
Our services are making a real difference
Nearly 7,000 people received one-to-one customised career planning assistance. Of those surveyed:
- 96% were able to identify appropriate career and training opportunities
- 98% who attended our customised career planning group sessions became better informed and were able to access appropriate career and training opportunities.
More than 62,000 people accessed our personal assistance services this year.
Telephone guidance has been incorporated into our mainstream business allowing more people to access our guidance services.
Reaching more people
We are reaching many more people through our stakeholders and influencers. We’ve worked with more than 400 schools and held more than 270 group events for key stakeholders and influencers this year. Of those surveyed:
- 85% of schools that received customised advice and professional development had improved their capability to plan and implement effective career education programmes for their schools and young people
- 92% of key stakeholders and influencers are better able to assist others with their career path.
