What's coming up?
Training for new or returning career educators/leaders
When: 2 and 3 March 2010.
This workshop is for Auckland schools’ career staff who are new to their roles. It provides an opportunity to:
- network with other professionals
- gain an understanding career education
- learn about Career Services' role
- learn about some of the tools/resources that will be helpful in practice.

Career education guidelines training
When: 16 March 2010 (proceeding the ACATE meeting). In line with the recently published Career Education and Guidance in NZ Schools, this workshop will provide participants with an update on the guidelines and how they relate to the New Zealand Curriculum.

ASB Polyfest
When: 17-20 March 2010 at Manukau Sports Bowl, Manukau City.
Career Services will have a stand at this cultural festival, which is targeted at Auckland's Māori and Pasifika secondary students. Career Services' stand will be staffed by career consultants, who will be available to offer career information and advice to students and teachers during the three-day event.

CATE professional development day
When: 12 March 2010 at Forum North in Whangarei.
Guest speakers include: Heather Carpenter author of The Career Maze and Dale Bailey (Career Services Area Manager Northern). Career education guidelines training
When: 22 March 2010 at Team Solutions training room, Auckland University, Tai Tokerau Campus, Whangarei.
In line with the recently published Career Education and Guidance in NZ Schools, this workshop will give participants an update on the guidelines and how they relate to the New Zealand Curriculum. The workshop will be presented by Career Services and Team Solutions.
