On this page you can find a range of Career Services resources for teaching career topics to students in year 7 and above. The resources range from games and posters to workbooks. They are easy to use and many provide space for students to capture their ideas.

We are developing new resources all the time, so if you have found a resource particularly useful, or have an idea for a new resource, let us know.

 

Resources for Year 7 upwards

These popular resources are useful for getting year 7 and 8 students thinking about careers.

Kiwi Cards
Sets of cards depicting Kiwis at work, suitable for years 7 to 10. The cards can be used for icebreakers, games, classroom and individual activities.

Career Planit
Student workbook and teachers guide for years 7 to 9 to support career education programmes that develop students' career management skills.

Jobs by Interest
A booklet to help students, job seekers and career changers start thinking about their interests and possible job ideas.

A collection of career activities that teachers can use with groups of students.

Resources for Year 9 upwards

At years 9 and 10, you can build career education into career days, form time or school camps. Think about using some of the resources below to do this.

Students may also find it useful to browse information in the secondary students and school leavers section. Students could do this as homework, during study periods, during library research time, or when they have relief teachers.
