On this page you can find a wide range of self-help resources produced by Career Services.

These resources are suitable for students to work through at their own pace. They can complete them for homework, during a study period or library research, or during a class visit to the computer lab or careers centre.

Many of our resources are free.

A number of Career Services job exploration resources don't require Internet access. You could put copies in places like the school library, form rooms, common rooms, deans' offices, and your careers centre.

A booklet to help students, job seekers and career changers start thinking about their interests and possible job ideas.

Posters and leaflets that help secondary students relate school subjects to possible job ideas.

CareerQuest
An interactive careers exploration computer program that helps people to discover and explore jobs that suit their interests and skills. CareerQuest is due for release as an online tool in early 2010.

Jobs Galore 2009
A reference book of jobs in New Zealand. Includes detail on tasks and duties, skills and training required and pay and prospects for each job. Published every two years using information from the Career Services website.
