Transcript: Skills for the workplace
Selwyn Insley, kaitohutohu:
Employers hire people who can read and write well - it’s pretty hard these days to think of a job where these skills aren’t needed. Maths, reading, writing and computer skills are a must have in today’s workplace, and without them, your job options are limited.
It’s always better to get work you want rather than settling for second best. If you’re struggling, you definitely need to get some help, and it’s much easier to get it sorted while you are still at school. Talking to your parents and teachers and working on this now will save you heaps of hassle later on.
