My children are not interested in me talking to them about careers - they would rather talk to their friends about it
"Research shows that parents have a significant impact on a child’s career development. This can be directly through exploring employment or training opportunities together, or indirectly
through building and developing motivation, self-esteem, communication skills, and
values that would be appreciated in the workplace. I would suggest that children
are interested in talking to parents but it’s more about how they are talked to…or how they are currently feeling or thinking about that decision."
