About Career Services

Career Services is the leading provider of career information, advice and guidance in New Zealand. We are a crown entity that reports to the Minister of Education.

Our services

If you’d like further information – as a parent, or in relation to your own career – or you want to talk things through with a career advisor, there are several ways you can contact us.

Even if you need a hand finding what you’re looking for, or using what you’ve found on this site, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Contacting one of our staff

You can talk to a career advisor six days a week on our free phone advice line 0800 222 733. This is available between 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday – Friday and between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday.

If you’d prefer to contact us online, you can email careers@careers.govt.nz or chat online.

We have 17 offices throughout New Zealand, from Kaitaia to Dunedin. If you’d like to call into your closest Career Services office, or contact the staff there directly, you’ll find the contact details below.
