Transcript: After the Interview

Sarah McIndoe, career consultant:

At the end of an interview, remember to check out what happens from there– will they ring you? When do they hope to make a decision?

If you’re keen on the job, you can say something like “thanks for seeing me –the job sounds great and I would really like to work here” – that way, the employer knows how you feel.

If you do miss out on the job, don’t be afraid to ask for feedback on “what you could do better in your next interview”

And always be polite – you never know when another job might come up with the same company.
