Transcript: Interview Preparation
Sarah McIndoe, career consultant:
It’s really normal to feel nervous about going to an interview – but it can help to remember that it’s just a chat so be yourself.
Be honest, friendly and put your best foot forward.
If you’ve got this far, the employer already thinks you have most of the skills they need – the meeting is about checking your attitude and how you’d fit with the team.
A good way to show them that you are really keen is to do your homework about their company and services before the interview.
An employer is always impressed if they can see you’ve made an effort to understand their industry.
