Transcript: It's OK to change careers
Sarah McIndoe, career consultant:
When you leave school, you base your career plans on your current skills and interests – but try to imagine yourself in the future. Visualise yourself at 25, even 30!
As you get older, your skills, interests and knowledge will develop and change. You may want to extend yourself, or specialise, or even go in a completely new direction. That’s life, and that’s what a career pathway is all about.
We’ve all heard about people who have changed their careers, even in their first few years out of school. So don’t be afraid to change your career based on your experience, and enjoy the journey!
