Transcript: Tips for parents and influencers

A quick word here to parents, teachers, friends and everyone who offers advice to young people making career decisions. You’re known as ‘influencers’, and it’s important to think about whether you’re having a positive or negative influence, encouraging career exploration or limiting it. 

You may be asked about career pathways outside your own experience.  And that’s ok, you can still help that young person to explore and gather more information. 

What’s important is that they decide on a career pathway that’s right for them.
