Our relationship with Government
Career Services is a Crown entity. We were established in 1990 to assist government to achieve its education, training and employment goals by providing high quality career information, advice and guidance services.
Career Services' work supports the government's priorities and outcomes. We also support the emerging focus on sustainable career development and helping young people achieve their potential. We are one of six government education agencies, which the Government works closely with. Alongside our core relationship with the Ministry of Education, we work closely with New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
Our Minister
Career Services reports to the Minister of Education, Hon Anne Tolley.
